How to prepare your roster

Use exactly three columns: Employee, Start, End. Each row assigns one person to one shift. Start and End must include the date and 24-hour time, such as 2026-09-21 22:00 and 2026-09-22 06:00. Up to 500 assignments, each at most 24 hours. Names are case-sensitive: use the same spelling for each employee.

What this checks

The checker compares every assignment for the same employee, flags duplicate or overlapping intervals, measures rest between work blocks, and splits assigned hours across Monday- or Sunday-based weeks. Fix input errors before running it; invalid rows are never silently skipped.

What you still need to review

This tool uses local wall-clock arithmetic. Do not use it for elapsed-time checks across daylight-saving transitions or multiple time zones. It does not check staffing coverage, qualifications, availability, breaks, fatigue or legal compliance. Include the preceding and following shifts to check rest at the edges of your roster.
